Solid Brick Extension/Renovation in Ormond

Originally a home built in the 1930’s, some major demoltion was required to nearly the whole right side of the house to allow us to build a new extension incorporating a large open plan kitchen and living room with attached dining and sittiing room constructed in solid brick to match the existing. Both bathrooms were totally stripped back and renovated. New floors were finished with natural spotted gum floor boards, granite bench tops to the kitchen and help to retain some of the original features of the house; all walls were finished in a smooth solid plaster, new ceilings were finished with the cornice and rosettes of that era and new internal doors were solid four panel timber with led light glass. Windows to the new areas were made in cedar, and externally the house was received a render finish.
